Gregory Robert Putnam, age 71, was born on June 26, 1947, in Charleston, South Carolina. Greg passed away on June 8, 2019, in Jacksonville, Florida.
Greg served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a machinist at Charleston Naval Shipyard and retired as a computer programmer from Kings Bay Naval Base. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, golfing, diving, shooting, skiing, and traveling with his wife.
Greg was preceded by his parents, Clark and Eula Lee Putnam, Jr.; his brother, Paul Roland Putnam; his nephew Keith Putnam; son-in-law Tony Cailteux and son-in-law Wade Goodwin.
He is survived by his beloved wife Millie Fisher; children Scott Putnam, Shawn (Julie) Putnam, Don (Donna) Fisher, Karen (Kim) Reeder, Sandi Shea, Charlie (Cheryl) Fisher, Kim (Tom) Dryden; siblings Mark (Linda) Putnam, Mandy (Richard) Leavitt, Loretta (Jerry) Plumley, Lodi (Pete) Malunet; grandchildren Daniel Putnam, Robbie Reeder, Aimee Kelly, Danielle Caplin, Lindsay Goodwin, Michelle Cossey, Bryce Dryden, Logan Fisher, Skylar Dryden, Zach Fisher; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
