Harlene Turso earned her heavenly wings on Friday, August 13th, 2021. She was born Harlene Ann Johnson on September 6th, 1943 in Dana, Indiana to Ruth and Harley Johnson. She grew up in a large family and was preceded in death by her siblings: Barbara, Ronnie, Glen, and Joanne. She is survived by her sister Sandra.

Harlene married Sebastian (Sal) Peters Turso, whom she leaves behind. They were married 53 years, and everyone could see the love and devotion that they felt for each other. Harlene and Sal had 3 children, Larry, Kim and Joseph. Harlene has 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Harlene was a devoted Navy wife and mother, and spent much of her life in the service of others.

For the past 8 years, Harlene fought to recover from two life changing diseases and the struggles that she faced every day. She was the best wife and mother, and when God called her home, she left a huge hole in our hearts. We know she is safe, secure and free in the arms of the Lord.
