Harold Wayne Strickland, age 65, died of complications of pneumonia due to covid-19, on January 3, 2021, in Orlando FL.
Harold was born on April 26, 1955, in Lake City FL, to William and Doris Strickland. He graduated from Columbia County High School in 1973. In 1973 he joined the United States Air Force where he served for 20 years, honorably retiring on November 30, 1993. Harold was a loving husband and father. He married Marlene Strickland, the love of his life, on January 23, 1978. Together they had 3 children, and one son from a previous marriage.
Harold was an active member in his church for twenty one years, and helped out with numerous projects during his time at the church. He enjoyed reading his bible in the morning, spending time with his family, playing with his dog Zeus, watching movies and playing video games with his sons. His family and friends will always remember him as a godly, loving husband, dad, son and brother.
Harold is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marlene Strickland; his sons, Jason Michael Strickland, Christopher Allen Strickland (Holly), Jeremey Wayne Strickland, and Joshua Paul Strickland (Corene); his sister, Karen Michelle Gibson; his daughter, Jessica Lynn Scoble; his grandson, Nicolas Gabriel Strickland; and his granddaughters, Skylar Sierra Strickland, Anessa Sine Scoble and Lisanna Renae Scoble.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, William Levy Strickland Jr. & Doris Irene Strickland of Lake City, FL; as well as his brother, William Robert Strickland of Lake City, FL.
A funeral is scheduled for Harold Strickland on Monday, January 11, 2021, 3-5pm at Centerpoint Baptist Church with Pastor Lee Fulenwider officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Harold's life. The family would like to thank everyone for the support and love you have given during this trying time.
