Obituary of Harry Anderson
Harry Fred Anderson, age 94, son of Oscar and Bertha Anderson, born March 9, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois, passed away August 24, 2015 at the Cypress Village Skilled Nursing Facility in Jacksonville, Florida.
A 30 year resident of Jacksonville and a man of many words - most noteworthy. He retired from the Sav-a-Stop Corporation in 1984 to pursue his interest in writing (2 novels - 1 published "Once More").
Harry was preceded in death by his wife Betty and daughter Kristen.
He is survived by a son Marc; granddaughters Cindy (Dave) Lawrence, Jenny (Eric) Lorenz and Susan (Rob) Simmons; great grandchildren Aidan and Reese Lawrence, Tyler, Jacob, and Samantha Lorenz and Adam and Keagan Simmons.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 9, 2015 at 5:00 PM Hidden Hills Country Club, 3901 Monument Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32225.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in the names of Harry and Betty Anderson to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Avenue, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018.
Arrangements are under the direction and care of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211 (904) 724-6384.
