Obituary of Hazel Edwards

Hazel Blunschi Edwards, 89, passed away August 18, 2009. She was born April 27, 1920 in Richmond, KY to John and Pearl Blunschi. Hazel was a teacher in Duval County for 30 years having taught first grade at Fort Caroline Elementary. She was also one of the founding families of Christ the King Catholic Church and she treasured the time she spent with her friends in the Geritol Group and the Catholic Woman's Group. Hazel is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward, Sr. and her daughter-in-law, Anne Edwards. Survivors include her sons, Charles and Jack (Dottie); brother, Willard Blunschi; sister, Barbara Treadway; grandchildren, Kathy, Lance (Renee) and Claire (Bryan); great grandchildren, Brody, Dalton and Reese and a large loving extended family. Mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday, August 21, 2009 at Christ the King Catholic Church and interment will take place at Arlington Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6:00-8:00pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road.
