Obituary of Hazel Smart

Mrs. Hazel Bohannon Smart, 91, entered into rest on October 14, 2013. She was born on September 20, 1922 in Jay, Florida to Anna Clyde Lee. Having received her Master's degree of Education from the University of Florida in 1962, Hazel was an avid Florida fan. She retired from the Duval County School Board after 30 years of dedicated years of teaching. She was a long time member of the Daughters of the Nile, Khem Temple. She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 devoted years, William B. Smart who retired with CSX; sister, Mae Dell Collier and brother, Curtis Bohannon. She is survived by her step daughter, LaTrelle Smart; brother in law, Derald (Connie) Smart; sister in law, Katherine Bohannon; cousins, Frances Williams and Harold Lee, many nieces nephews and friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 10-11:00am with her funeral to commence at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery.
