Obituary

Helen Marie Gerbhardt, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020, age 89.   Helen was born on December 9, 1930 in Superior, Wisconsin, the only daughter of The Reverend Adolph and Charlotte (Kramer) Gerbhardt.

Helen was a teacher and guidance counselor with the Jacksonville Public School System for over 35 years.  A lifelong Lutheran, Helen was affiliated with, and a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church Missouri Synod for over 65 years.

She is survived by many dear and close friends, among them, Carleda Krause, Timothy Huber, Robert and Rose Davis, Sharon Connell, and Sandra Parker. This includes all of her many dear friends from Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Helen was a "pip".  Helen was a Renaissance Woman. She loved music, she travelled the world, and she was a consistent supporter of the Jacksonville Symphony, as well as the Audubon Society and other philanthropic organizations.  She was thoughtful, she was strong, and she was loving.

A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, August 10th at Arlington Park Cemetery.  The Reverend Dana Allen Brones will be the celebrant.  Arrangements are under the direction and care of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, Florida 32211 - (904) 724-6384.
