Helen Romaine Gorman, age 96, passed peacefully to her final rest Sunday evening, February 25th.  Born August 9, 1921,  in York Co, PA, Helen was a fixture of the Arlington Community for over 60 years,  Predeceased by her husbands Alfred Schullar and Robert Gorman, a step-son Bruce Gorman and a niece, Susan Stanek.  She is survived by her loving niece Kathy Watson (Russell) and grand-nephew Jason R. Watson as well as long-time best friends Angela Griffiths and JoAnn Orren.

Helen was a caring, generous and humble woman who enjoyed a long, successful career with Compass bank before retiring, though never slowing down as she pursued her passions for gardening and her beloved dog.

Helen was fiercely loyal to her family and friends and passionate about the causes she supported, particularly those devoted to humane care of all animals.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Brookdale Atrium Way for their care in Helen's later years and to McGraw Hospice for their care and compassion in her final days.

A graveside service will be on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at the Arlington Park Cemetery at 6920 Lone Star Road Rd., Jacksonville, Florida, 32211.  904-724-6384.
