Obituary of Helen Millett

Millett, Helen Jean (Edwards), born in New York, passed away on 5/15/2010 at the age of 82 in Jacksonville, FL. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert L. Millett; survived by her children, Bruce Robert Millett and Dianne Millett Giansante, also of Jacksonville; her granddaughter, Stacy Jean Hilton; and two great granddaughters. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed an administrative career in the electronics industry. Jean' lived in Queens and Long Island, NY; New England, and retired to Ocala, Florida. She was a member of The Church of the Incarnation in Silver Springs Shores, active and held office in the Ocala Garden Club, before relocating to Jacksonville in 1998. She joined Guardian Lutheran Church in Mandarin, and eventually resided at Deerwood Plaza Assisted Living and Life Care Nursing Home. Jean loved to travel, cook, sew and read having spent much time studying the Holy Bible. She played the piano and sang in the choir. She will be missed by her many close friends, several of which were from grade school, along with those from civic groups and neighborhoods over the years. There will be a private memorial service on her behalf. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heartland Hospice of Jacksonville are greatly appreciated. Finally, the family of Mrs. Millett wishes to thank everyone for their generous support, faithful prayers and kind assistance during her final days.
