Helen D. Patterson passed away peacefully Thursday, October 11, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on April 30, 1924 in Fairmont, West Virginia.

Helen was a loving, and gracious person who will be greatly missed. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother adored by all. She filled so many hearts with joy and blessed her friends and family with memories that will be cherished forever. She truly loved to serve others and was active in her church, Foster Drive Baptist .

She took great pleasure in gardening, bowling and loved to bake cakes and holiday goodies for others to enjoy.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years William Thomas Patterson, two sisters, Florence and Anna and two brothers, Mike and Nick.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Miller (Rick); son, Richard Patterson (Vivian); six grandchildren Philip (Chrissy), Matthew, Cameron, Rikki (Forrest), Jeff (Amanda) and Kelly (Alex) and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held in her honor on at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 16 ^, 2018 in the Arlington Park Cemetery, 6921 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211 with Pastor Duke Graham officiating.
