Obituary of Helen Storey

Helen Elizabeth Casteel Storey passed away on December 12, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, D. Ralph Storey. Survivors include three daughters, Patricia McCall, (Henry), of Vidalia, Georgia, Linda D. Storey and Bonnie Baker, (Eric), of Jacksonville, Florida. Grandchildren are Allen McCall, (Mindi) and Stephen McCall of Vidalia, Georgia, Daniel McCall, (April) of North Augusta, Georgia, Christopher Baker of Jacksonville, Florida and five great-grand-children. Helen enjoyed literature, crocheting and animals. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Florida after she was married in 1941. She was a long time devout member of the Arlington Baptist Church as a dedicated Sunday school member and avid church worker. Helen worked as an L. P. N. Mama was a loving spirit, compassionate and generous to everyone, as well as a dedicated homemaker, devoted wife and loving mother. She was the wind beneath Ralph Storey's wings. The family will receive friends and family at the Arlington Park Funeral home on Lone Star Road from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2009. Funeral services will be held at Arlington Baptist Church, 6009 Arlington Road (743-4100), Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Rev Larry Boyett, officiating. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
