Herbert Corder Taylor, Jr. passed away peacefully on April 16, 2023 in his home surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and great grandfather. He was born on April 11, 1943 in Weston, West Virginia, and lived the majority of his life in Jacksonville, FL. He was a member of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office for 40 years.

He is survived by his wife Felicia M. Taylor; two daughters, Laura Shevada (John), Jo Swisher (Scott) and a son Herbert Taylor, III (Kim). He had five grandchildren and one great granddaughter: Taylor, Karlee (Johnathen), Jake, Nicholas, Lacey and Remington.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 20 ^th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home (APFH). Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 am at Terry Parker Baptist Church on Merrill Road. A brief internment service to follow at APFH cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in honor of Herbert Taylor to First Coast No More Homeless Pets or the City Rescue Mission.
