Obituary of Hester Wade

Mrs. Hester "Nanny" Langley Wade, 94, entered into rest on October 15, 2013. She was born on November 22, 1918 to the late John and Samantha DeBerry in Moultrie, GA. She relocated to Jacksonville with her family in 1948. Nanny enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking her world famous hoecakes! Above all, she treasured being surrounded by her family and was active with her church. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Travis J. Langley and Wallace Wade and her grandson, Joshua C. Wade. Nanny is survived by her children, Randall (Debbie) Langley, Louise (Joe) Largen, Stephen (Sue) Langley, David (Teresa) Wade, Andy (Danielle) Wade, Sandra Wade, and Melody (Greg) Willis; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 6-8:00pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL. Her funeral will follow on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11:00am in the chapel of the funeral home with Elder Vernon Sims officiating.
