Horace M. Clark Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and community leader transitioned from this world on December 20th 2024; at the age of 86. Born on September 2, 1938, in Jacksonville, Florida . Horace was the son of Walter Clark and Charlie Mae Limbric. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Meshele Clark, his aunt, Mozell Edwards , and his parents.
Horace was a proud graduate of Matthew W. Gilbert high school and furthered his education at Edward Waters College. His passion for faith, family, and service defined his life. For over 60 years, Horace was a dedicated member of the Northside church of Christ, were he served in numerous roles including trustee,deacon,zone leader, song leader and coordinator of youth conference's First Aid committee. His commitment extended to outreach programs and the church's financial department , where his efforts left and lasting impact.
In addition to his devotion to faith Horace had a deep love for his family, especially his wife, Jacquelyn L. Clark. The couple shared a wonderful 58 years together. Their Union was built on love, mutual respect, and shared commitment to their family and faith.
Horace also had a distinguished career, retiring after more than 22 years of service with the International Longshoremen's Association Local 1408. His dedication to this work and to his fellow colleagues was evident in the respect he earned through this career.
He leaves behind his loving wife Jacquelyn L. Clark; two children, Horace (Lisa) Clark and Harvey (Amanda) Clark ; three grandchildren, Timothy Payne, Morgan Clark and Amali Clark; his aunt Velma Hill; Goddaughter, Tina Logan; as well as a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
Horace M. Clark Sr. Will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his love for his family, and his profound impact on his church and community. He leaves s legacy of love service and dedication that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
