Obituary of Howard Winesett

Howard Winesett, from Jacksonville Florida was born June 5, 1940 in Charleston WVA to Aulbry and Irene Winesett. He moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1963 and began a career in the Duval County School System as a math teacher. He later became the General Director of Testing for the School System where he retired after a distinguished 30 year career.

He later served many years on the Board and Chairman of the Board for the Community first Credit Union. He was an active member of the University Blvd Church of the Nazarene where he served on the Church board, S.S. Teacher, Usher and various other ministries of the church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lois. Two children, his son Craig and his wife Lisa, daughter Lorri and her husband Andy; 4 grandchildren, Kayla Adkins and her husband Glenn, Kelsey Crum and her husband Adam, Sydney and Carter.

Services will be held 3PM, Sunday, September 14th, 2014 at the University Blvd Church of the Nazarene, 3930 University Blvd South, Jacksonville, Florida. The family is welcoming friends before the service at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in his memory to the University Blvd Church of the Nazarene for World Mission.
