Hugh Clement Stanley was born December 27th, 1940, in Telfair County, Georgia to W.H Stanley and Bernice Irene Stanley. Hugh Stanley died on his birthday, December 27, 2021, and was 81 years old. Hugh was a long-time resident of Jacksonville, Florida and worked for 31 years for the Eaton Corporation, Cutler Hammer division as an outside sales engineer where he excelled at sales and long-term client relationships. Hugh also started purchasing apartment complexes in Arlington in 1977 and ended up owning and managing 3 different proper- ties where he became a spiritual father and minister to many former homeless people, drug addicts, and mentally handicapped people. He shared the love of Jesus with them and saw many give their lives over to Christ. He loved southern gospel music, Elvis and the oldies. He loved his dogs, Bear, Buddy and Bobo, who were his best friends in the world. Surviving Hugh are his son Sherman Stanley (Jodi), daughter Cherie Stanley, grandchildren Cassie Cashner (Ian) and Caleb Stanley.

The funeral service will be this Saturday, January 15th, at 11:00 at Destination Church, 7341 Atlantic Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32211, with Reverend Ken Barney officiating.
