Ilirjana Haruni, 71, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 after a brief illness, surrounded by her loved ones.
Ilirjana was born in Albania on January 13, 1953. Her late parents had longed for her arrival for years. She always strived to make them proud and excelled at everything she did. Ilirjana became a chemical engineer and had an illustrious career in industry while raising two children and being a guiding light to everyone around her. She retrained as a teacher after a significant illness in the early 2000s and has left an imprint in the hearts and lives of many students, supporting them in their endeavors and enhancing their learning while inspiring them to be their best selves. She continued to guide youngsters as a substitute teacher while making a difference as a new immigrant even through her late 60s. She defied the odds in the face of adversity and illness, rarely complained and always worked assiduously to accomplish the task at hand and support her family tirelessly. The family extends their thanks to all those who held her in their hearts, and to the wonderful medical professionals who helped her throughout her life.
She is survived and greatly missed by her loving husband, Agron, daughter Ina and her husband Marcus and 3 children; son Besnik and his wife, Ada and by the ray of sunshine who is their daughter, Reja.
