Obituary of Irene Wedberg

Irene W. Wedberg, 87, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 24, 2010. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and caring friend to all who knew her. She was born on December 30, 1922 in Hull, England to the late William Bennett and Ada Greaves. She came to the United States in 1947 as a World War II War Bride and became an American citizen. She was a charter member of the Trans Atlantic Brides and Parents Association and was also a member of the British American Club. Irene is preceded in death by her loving husband of 24 wonderful years Walter F. Wedberg. She is survived by her daughter Susanne Wedberg and many friends. Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a viewing on Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, a Graveside service will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2010.
