Obituary of Iva Johns
Iva Catherine Johns, born November 17, 1923 in Sarcoxie, Missouri, to Edward and Virla Karr Bennett, passed away October 13, 2014 in Jacksonville, Florida.
She was a member of Kernan Baptist Church and enjoyed volunteering as a secretary of Sunday School class for several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, George William Johns Sr.; Brothers, Homer Bennett, Ralph Bennett and a Sister, Florence Pate.
Iva is survived by Sons, Stephen E Crapse, Joseph M. Crapse (Myriam); Step-sons, George W. Johns Jr. (Cynthia), Robert Johns (Joann); step daughter, Linda Nichols (Nick), Brother, David Bennett; Sister, Ramona Crapse; several grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
As a loving mother and wife, we'll always remember the caring gentle heart, you will be in our hearts forever, your love will be our companion and your memory our strength.
The family will receive friends 6-8PM, Friday, October 17, 2014 at the funeral home with a Celebration of Life, 2PM, Saturday, October 18, 2014 in the Chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211, phone (904) 724-6384, with Pastor Al Hicks officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Arlington Park Cemetery, 6921 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211.
