Jacob Bowling, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Monday, July 6, 2020. He was 38. Jacob was born on December 21, 1981 in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of Gary and Judy Bowling.

Jacob spent his time helping those around him. He lived at home with his parents and helped them with just about everything he could. He had a love for tools and could take anything apart and put it back together. Even though he struggled in his academic years he was extremely smart, more than most people ever realized. He enjoyed building things and working with his hands most of all. He was funny and made those around him laugh a lot. He loved to drive his truck and enjoyed driving his family around anywhere they needed to go. He had a love for Disney movies and old movies and had a big collection that he enjoyed watching with his mother. He loved Charlie Daniels and enjoyed listening to his music. He also had a special place in his heart for animals. He really enjoyed the beach and swimming in the ocean. He would often drive down to Daytona with his Mom and Dad and spend the day there. Jacob would help anyone that asked him for help or a favor. That is what many people will remember him for. He always had a smile on his face and his family will miss that most of all.

He is survived by; Parents Gary and Judy Bowling, sister Holly Simoneau and brother in law Philip Simoneau. Nephews and Nieces Ryan, Brooke Felix and Sadie Simoneau. Aunts Charlotte Wilson, Cindy Dixon and Wanda Shaffer. Uncle Robert Bowling. Cousins: Hope Wilson, Alyson, Zachary, and Michael Arcuri.

Jacob was preceded in death by; Grandparents; William Harold and Evelyn Burnsed, Everett and Elizabeth Bowling. Uncles Thomas Bowling, Neel Wilson, David Dixon and Ray Shaffer.

A Celebration of Jacob's life will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday July 23rd at the Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32211. Dr. Timothy McDaniel will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Arlington Park Funeral Home - (904) 724-6384.
