Obituary of Jacqueline Martin

Jacqueline Sheppard Martin, aged 83, entered into rest peacefully on April 26, 2012, surrounded by her family members at home. "Jackie" was born in Jacksonville, Florida on March 15, 1929 to the late De Francis and Cecilia Sheppard. She was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy and was employed at the Florida Times Union for several years and held many secretarial and managerial positions, lastly having managed All American Carpet Cleaners. Jackie met and married her husband of 60 beautiful years, Tommy (T.Z.), July 26, 1951 while he was stationed at NAS Jax. Jackie is survived by her husband, T.Z.; children, Cindy Ballasso (Sgro), Chris Martin (Donna), Steve Martin (Anna); grandchildren, Sean, Janis, Jessica, T.J., Jennifer, Kristi, and Brandon; eight great grandchildren; and many friends. She is preceded in death by her brother, Cecil Sheppard. Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 29, 2012 from 3-5:00pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL. Her funeral will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 2:00pm at the funeral Home
