Obituary of James Green

James Howard Green, 82, passed away December 9, 2007. Born in Troy, Alabama he has been a resident of Jacksonville for over 40 years. He was a dedicated servant of the Atlantic Beach Police Department and owned multiple local Dairy Queen Restaurants. Howard is preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbie Jean Green; his second wife, Elizabeth Hart Green; two brothers and three sisters. He leaves to cherish his memory; sons, Bruce Green and Larry Green; daughter, Janice Marvin (Charles III); Grandchildren, Chuck Marvin IV(Stacy), Michael Troy Marvin, Todd Green and Jeremiah Green; a few great-grandchildren and his loving companion and friend Reba Rogers. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 from 6-8:00pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road. A service to celebrate his life will be held in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 12:00pm. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery.
