James Lee was born on April 4, 1954 in Tampa, FL. Graduating from Hillsborough High School, he played the trumpet in their marching band and even played in the opening day parade at Walt Disney World on October 1, 1971. He enlisted in the United States Army on October 21, 1975 as an Indirect Fire Infantryman. He retired March 31, 2002 from the Florida National Guard as a Construction Engineer Supervisor. He also retired from Florida Custom Marble in September 2015. James went by many names; Jimmy, Jim, Bobo, Dad, Daddy, and PopPop. He was a fun loving man that always did it "my way".
James is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Dawn; 4 sons, Matthew (Jennifer), David (Christina), Jason, and
Phillip (Samantha); 2 daughters, Kathleen (Otis) and Christina (Joshua); 4 sisters, Nancy, Gloria, Jeanette (Jerry),
Denise (Bruce); 1 brother, Tracy; 14 grandchildren; daughter by heart, Colleen; and extended family and friends.
