Obituary of James Shearin
Mr. James "Jimmy" Grayson Shearin, 63, entered into rest on October 17, 2013. He is remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was born on November 26, 1949 in Camden, SC to late T.P. and Callie Shearin. Jimmy served during the Vietnam Era with the US Marine Corps. When Jimmy received his honorable discharge, he went on to become a welder. He retired from Container Corporation after 33 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and scuba diving. Above all he treasured grilling and spending time with his family and friends. Jimmy is preceded in death by his brother, Terry Allen Shearin. He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Mary E. Shearin; sons, Ray (Michelle) Shearin and Jason (Brandi) Waller; grandchildren, Raynie, Brelyn and Eric; brothers, Donald and Warren "Dog" (Gena) Shearin; sister, Jewel (Chip) Jaynes; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 10-11:00am at Arlington Park Funeral Home. His funeral will follow at 11:00am in the chapel with Pastor Donnie Shearin officiating.
