Obituary of Jane Ricke

Jane F. Ricke, 81, recently of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on October 16, 2013.

She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, graduated from North Webster (IN) High School

and received a bachelor's degree from Indiana University and was a member of Delta

Gamma sorority. She was married for 55 years to Joseph H. Ricke who passed away in

2010.

Jane lived in Florida for over 40 years, having spent time in Miami, Palm City and Ocala

before moving to Jacksonville after Joe passed away. She was a teacher and devoted

much of her life to issues related to children and education and was an advocate for the

PTA and other organizations committed to improving education.

Survivors include a brother John Fremont Frisinger of Muskegon, Michigan; a son, Jeff

of Jacksonville; and three daughters, Jill Ricke of Tallahassee, Jan Gallo of Atlanta,

Georgia, and Susan Poyo of Steubenville, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and 2 greatgrandchildren.

The family will hold private services in Palm City in December
