Obituary of Janet Murray
Janet Marie O'Quinn Murray, 55, of Jacksonville, passed away Easter Sunday. She was born August 25, 1953 in Savannah, Ga. to Donald and Dolly O'Quinn. She was the oldest of four children, and the only sister to brothers Don, Rick and Matt. While attending high school in Richmond Hill, Ga., Janet met Randy Murray. The two became Mr. and Mrs. Richmond Hill High in 1971, and shortly thereafter she became Mrs. Murray. Her life as a mother began in 1972 with the birth of son Jason. In 1974 her life was brightened with the birth of daughter Donna and in 1976 her family was completed with youngest son Kiley. Janet dedicated her life to the nurturing development of her children and still found time to acquire a nursing degree from AASU in 1988. She utilized her education as a critical care nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah until 1997. Janet's pride and passion was always her family and her grandchildren Kristine, Samantha, Taylor, Madison, Tommy and Dakota were her angels. Her daughter in laws Morgan and Kim and son in law Keith Thompson were always her other children. While Janet spent much of her adult life dealing with a multitude of health issues, her Christian spirit and determination will always be her legacy. Janet's family will receive friends tonight, Tuesday, April 14, 2009 from 6-8:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Jacksonville Downtown, Hobson Auditorium. In lieu of flowers please make donations to First Baptist Church Foundation, 124 West Ashley Street, Jacksonville, Fl., 32202
