Janice S. Turner of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Thursday March 5th, 2020.  She was 70.  Janice was born March 15, 1949 in Fayetteville, Tennessee, the daughter of Leslie and Olivia (Whitworth) Slayton.

Janice went to nursing school and became a registered nurse.  Janice worked for a hospital in Richmond, Virginia and was able to pursue her passion in the pediatric unit.  Janice moved back to Jacksonville in 2002 and retired from nursing.

Janice is survived by her children; Ronda Drady (Gene) and Chester Allen Wilson; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 4 siblings; Ruby, Brenda, Lonnie, and Ronnie.

Janice is predeceased by her parents and sister Juanita.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 11th at the Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, Florida.  Pastor Phillip Wyatt will be the officiant.  Janice's family will begin greeting guests at 11:00 am for visitation will continue until the funeral service at 1:00 pm.  Entombment will be in the Arlington Park Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction and care of Arlington Park Funeral Home - (904) 724-6384.
