Obituary of Jean Gillihan
Jean Marie Gillihan, 80, passed away December 28, 2014. She was born December 15, 1934 in Nova Scotia, Canada. After serving in the Canadian Air Force she made Jacksonville her home in 1970. Jean retired after 25 years with the State of Florida-Health and Rehabilitative Service. She was an AVON representative for over 25 years. Jean is preceded in death by her son, Rorie, and her parents Chester and Nellie Lohnes. Jean is survived by her daughters, Colette Poore (Victor Saathoff) and Charmaine Joy Wood (Rick) and her granddaughter, Rachel Poore.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11AM, Friday, January 2, 2015 in the Chapel of the funeral home. The family will begin receiving friends at 10 AM.
In honor of Jean, memorial contributions may be sent to Heartland Hospice, 8130 Baymeadows Way West, Jacksonville, Florida 32256. Arrangements by Arlington Park Cemetery and Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211 (904) 724-6384.
