Jeanne (McClenahan) Young passed away Sunday September 15, 2019 at Baptist Heart Hospital. She was born April 27, 1924 in New Wilmington, PA to Paul and Bernice (Boyd) McClenahan. Jeanne grew up in PA and graduated from Union High School in New Castle.  She worked at Westinghouse in Sharon, PA for several years.  She then joined the army and served 17 months in the medical field.  After she was discharged she returned to work at Westinghouse where she met Raymond Young and was married for 66 wonderful years.

When Ray retired, they moved to Florida to be near four of their children and their families. They left one son and his family in State College, PA where they lived. Ray and Jeanne were members and attended the Presbyterian Church in PA and in Florida. They later joined Switzerland Community Church in St. Johns.

Mrs. Young is preceded in death by her beloved husband Raymond Young (January 27, 2015), her parents, and sister Betty Minner (Clarence - [Deceased]).

Jeanne is survived by her sister Helen Barrett (William - [Deceased]), step-son Gary (Nancy -[Deceased]), step-daughter Sharlene Landers (John - [Deceased]); sons; John (Debbie), James (Barbara), and Jerald (Shaun); 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 11 great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday September 19th at the Switzerland Community Church, 2179 State Rd 13, Saint Johns, Florida 32259.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 am and will continue until the time of the service.  Burial will be in the Jacksonville National Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction and care of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, Florida 32211 - (904) 724-6384.
