On September 1, 2021, Jeffery (Jeff) Compton of Jacksonville, Fla., passed away from a severe illness. His memory will be kept alive by his wife and best friend Jennifer, daughter Sophie, his loving family and countless friends and fans.

Jeff walked this world with a kind heart and a gentle soul. He loved spending time with his wife, daughter and their cats and enjoyed cooking, horror movies and comics, video games, Jack and Coke Zero, red wine and dark chocolate. He also loved his hometown, Greenville, Ohio, where he made lifelong friends and had teachers who fostered his talents and eagerness to learn.

Whatever Jeff set out to do he mastered — martial arts, visual art, photography, and most of all, playing electric guitar. Jeff performed with numerous bands for more than 30 years and earned a reputation for his superb technical ability, versatility, reliability and as a guitar solo perfectionist. He will be dearly missed, and we will treasure the art, music, and recorded performances he left behind. May he rest in peace.
