Jeffrey Marshall Chapman, 61, born March 14, 1955 in Jacksonville, Florida to Samuel Eugene Chapman and Bonnie Louise Pinkston passed away January 9, 2017 at Baptist Hospital South in Jacksonville, Florida. Jeffrey held many occupations from maintenance technician, to professional turnkey painter. But his most recent occupation was over the road truck driver transporting various items via semi-tractor trailer. Jeffrey had many hobbies such as fishing, building model airplanes, cars, and sailboats or enjoying a great western. Jeffrey played bass guitar in a family band with his two brothers David and Richard Chapman which they called Wild Country. Jeffrey loved football and was a loyal Jaguar and Gators fan, always looking forward to football weekends when he would get to see his favorite teams play. And even when his Jaguars lost a game he continued to root for them always believing the next time will be better. Jeffrey loved his family and loved to spend time with them whether at a cook out for football weekend or playing in the band with his brothers he loved his family just as much as his family loved him. Jeffrey also loved his dear pet dog Mojo the Chihuahua, he loved that dog and everywhere Jeffrey went mojo was not far behind. Jeffrey was a country music fan loving artists such as Sammy Kershaw, Randy Travis, and Alan Jackson whom also served as inspiration when choosing a middle name for his youngest son Cody Alan Chapman. Jeffrey was also a very big fan of Elton John who he also got to see in concert live in Las Vegas. Jeffrey is preceded in death by his mother Bonnie Louise Chapman, his father Samuel Eugene Chapman, his brother Samuel Anthony Chapman, and his daughter Amanda Carann Rengifo-Suris. He is survived by his son's Jacob Marshall Chapman, Cody Alan Chapman, his daughter in law, Cathleen Ann Chapman, his sisters Linda Louise Westberry, Judy Ann Farrington, his brother's Wallace Eugene Chapman, Walter David Chapman, Richard Troy Chapman, his nieces Tracey Smith, Bonnie Gonzalez, Kelly Homer-Cox, Linda Hartley Coleman, Selena Chapman, and his nephew Richard Troy Chapman J.R. his beloved dog Mojo, his niece of the heart Melissa Mccrimmon as well as numerous family and friends. The Chapman family will receive friends for a Visitation Gathering 7PM-9PM, Monday, January 16, 2017. A Celebration of Life will begin 1PM, Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in the chapel of the funeral home with Chaplain J. Scott Shubert, USN (Ret.) officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Arlington Park Cemetery.
