Jerome John Seefried, Sr., age 85, son of Victor and Marguerite Quinn Seefried, passed peacefully May 10, 2016.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 noon on May 16, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 720 Arlington Road North, Jacksonville, Florida 32211. Father James Boddie Jr. will be officiating with a lunch reception to follow. Burial services will be scheduled in mid June.

Jerry was born November 11, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania He was retired SMSgt, U.S. Air Force and was employed 30 years in Civil Service. After retirement, Jerry worked at Arlington Park Funeral Home and was actively involved in volunteering for many years at Catholic Charities and Christ the King Church.

Jerry was married to Barbara Seefried (Thomas) on April 21, 1957 and was married for 38 years. His second marriage was to Nona Seefried (Newton) for 28 months.

Jerry is survived by his two children, Carol Anne Spector and her husband Robert and Jerome J. (Skip) Seefried, Jr. and his wife Dawn. Jerry had four grandchildren: Sean Seefried and his wife Kendall; Danielle Coates and her husband Joshua; Joshua Spector and Kristen Spector. Jerry had two great grandchildren, Paisley Jane and Piper Anne.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Catholic Charities. The family would like to extend their many thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
