Jesse Albert Parks Sr. 62, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, September 29, 2018. Jesse's passing was like all aspects of his life…on his own terms and with no warning. He felt privileged to be born the 2 ^nd son of Chief William (Bill) Parks Jr. and Nancy (Kathryn) Parks on a local military base in Jax, FL. They lived the large family life with one sister Anna (Craig), and three brothers Jack, Joe and Red (Cheryl) often found in guitar circles picking with Bill and waiting on Kathryn's famous tomato gravy. Jesse had a gentle soul and soft heart which made the earlier passings of son, Jesse (Albert) Parks Jr, father Bill Parks, brother Joe Parks and brother Jack Parks in his lifetime something he struggled to get over. Jesse was married twice to women he now harmoniously shared every holiday and openly called #1 (Sandy) and #2 (Barbara). Jesse had that knack of saying things and taking risks unacceptable to most and somehow getting by with it. He had children from 1973-1989 to pass along all this charm. He once said, "The only thing I've done longer than be a Dad is work on AC's." Kristi, Albert, Rebekah and Amanda (Rob) were Jesse's heart. He loved his children deeply and worked his fingers to the bone to take care of his kids to the point of spoiling. When the six grandchildren were born, it was time for Jesse to step into new "Pappy" shoes! Christian, Harrison, Wyatt, Coralee, Braxton and Myra were very blessed to learn and spend time with this laid back but slightly wild and loving grandfather. Likewise, the now 45 nieces and nephews and countless cousins loved to learn and spend time with Uncle Jesse. Fishing and guitar playing were Jesse's greatest hobbies, amongst many others. Jesse was a true LEGEND with stories of antics, close calls and good times from GA to the FL Keys to New Orleans to MI and all in between. At his core, Jesse was a hardworking, family loving, under the radar clever, genuine, loyal, kind and giving man that will never be forgotten by his family and many others.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 6PM to 8PM and a funeral service on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 1PM in the Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jax, FL 32211.  Internment will immediately follow in the Arlington Park Cemetery.
