Irene Wilder, 98, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born on August 16, 1926, to the parents of Raymond Craven and Mary Jane Strawder in Ellenton, GA. In 1942, Irene moved to Jacksonville, FL where she became employed by the King Edward Cigar factory, and she retired from there as an employee of nearly 50 years.

Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wilder, Sr., her brother, Ralph Craven, her sisters, Marie Gornto and Florene Horsley, her son, Ronnie Bennett and her Grandson, Randy Bennett. Irene is survived by her sons, Raymond Bennett and Edward Wilder, Jr. (Liese), and her daughters Barbara Durfee (Tony) and Pam Adams (Craig), sister Corene Williams, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Irene's joy came from being with family, and she loved cooking, gardening, feeding her birds and watching her Georgia Bulldogs!

Visitation will be held on December 9, 2024, at Noon, at Arlington Park Funeral Home located at 6920 Lone Star Rd. Internment will immediately follow at Arlington Park Cemetery.
