Obituary of Jimmy Holland

HOLLAND - Our beloved Father, Brother, Son, and Best Friend's life came to an end on Thursday, July 9, 2015. Jimmy Dale Holland a/k/a "Southside Jim" was born August 22, 1948 in Santa Barbara, California, son of James Holland and Evelyn Seay Holland both of Clarksville, Tennessee. Jim graduated from Clarksville High School in 1966. He joined the U.S. Army in 1966 and later graduated from the University of Tennessee. Jim eventually moved to Jacksonville, Florida and was a resident for over 35 years. He established his own business, Southside Motorcycle, in 1987. He was an avid motorcycle rider since the age of 14. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends. Jim was a Mentor, Best Friend and Brother to many. Jimmy Dale Holland was preceded in death by his Mother, Evelyn Seay Holland. He is survived by his Father, James Holland; his Sisters, Sandra Hembree (David), Susan Herring (Dave); his Brother, Dan Holland; his Former Wife, Ingrid Holland, Mother of Tonja Renea Holland and Tyler Andre Holland; also Daughter, Chelesea Theresa Moccio; and his Companion, Dianne Simmons.

A graveside Memorial Service will be held 2:30 PM, Friday, July 31, 2015 at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the Holland Family requests that you honor Jim's memory with a charitable gift to the American Legion Post 316, Jacksonville, or American Disabled Veterans.
