Obituary of Joan Butler

Joan "Momma Jo" Butler, 86, passed away Friday May 14, 2010. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. Joan was born on December 22, 1923 in Parris, Illinois to the late Floyd and Jessie Schlatter. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Tandy Butler Sr. of 50 wonderful years of marriage. Joan was a very accomplished artist in everything she did. She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Crosby; son Dennis Robert Butler; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and eleven great- great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. and a funeral service on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Arlington Park's funeral home chapel.
