Jacksonville, FL — Joe V Jennings, 88, died peacefully Monday, October 20, 2024.

Joe was born on October 26, 1935, to parents W.V and Florene (Yancey) Jennings in LaFayette AL. After graduating high school, he moved to Jacksonville FL where he kickstarted his 40-year career with Ryder Truck Lines.

In 1957 Joe met the love of his life and beloved wife, Billie Faye Jennings (Barnes). Joe was well known for his strong will, unwavering determination, and love and support for his family and community. Along with his wife, he was a devout member of Arlington Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL. He was an enthusiastic baseball coach dedicating countless hours at Arlington Little League mentoring and inspiring young athletes. He also enjoyed a good round of golf and held membership at Blue Cypress Golf Club.

Joe is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Billie Faye. He is survived by his children, Jay Jennings II (Amy) Candace Armstrong (Brian); three grandchildren, Allie (Josh), Joe (Lindsay), and Tori; two great-grandchildren Lillie Faye and Julia Grace.

A service to celebrate his life will be at Arlington Baptist Church, Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 12:00 pm.
