Johanna Irene Edralin, 56, entered heaven on December 20, 2018 after a fearless battle with cancer.  She is preceded by her mother and father (Irene and Cornel); and survived by her brother (Christopher), boyfriend (Rick), beloved bulldog (Mimi) numerous relatives, and countless devoted friends.

Born in Norfolk VA, her parents relocated to Jacksonville when she was four years old.  During her younger years, she played piano, danced (ballet, tap, and jazz), and played on the tennis team in high school, which earned her a scholarship to the local community college.  In the 1990s, she relocated to Ft. Lauderdale, where she worked as a medical transcriptionist for a prominent law firm.

Johanna will be remembered for her vibrant personality and generous, fun-loving nature.  An adventurous spirit, she had a passion for travel, exploring the US, Canada, Europe, Cuba, and the Philippines. She loved to share the exotic cuisine, spectacular scenery, and interesting cultures she discovered through an array of photos and colorful descriptions.  Always stylish, she was ready for any social event, whether a night on the town or the office ugly Christmas sweater party.  And, her Halloween costumes were epic – usually winning her first prize in any contest.  Her favorite quote was, "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."  Johanna gave us all an abundance of such treasured moments and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 742 Arlington Road, Jacksonville, Florida.  Father Rafael Lavilla will be the celebrant.  Arrangements are under the direction and care of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida (904) 724-6384.
