Obituary of John Folds

John Folds, Jr. grew up in Griffin, GA, where he married Jett McKibben. They were married 63 years and had one daughter, Paula; two grandchildren, Michelle Grabarczyk and Dustin Thomas; and three great grandchildren, Madeleine Grabarczyk, Alexander Grabarczyk, and Jordan Thomas; as well as many other beloved family members. After graduating from Atlanta Law School, he went to work for State Farm Insurance Company. During his career he served as chairman of the board for the Georgia Underwriting Association and as Secretary/Treasurer for the Georgia Insurers Insolvency Pool. These are but a few of the many positions he served and awards he received during his 40 years with State Farm. He was loved by many and will surely be missed. Visitation will be held at Lakewood United Methodist Church on San Jose Boulevard at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 followed by services at 2:00pm. A reception will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville FL 32257. Interment will be in Arlington Park Cemetery.
