John Randolph Keener, Sr went home to be with The Lord on June 12th, 2020 at age 86. John was known as Randy to his friends and family. Randy was a loving husband to Mary Jane for 52 years. He was born in Fairmont, West Virginia on March 15th, 1934 to Clarence and Marion Keener. He served in the Navy on the aircraft carrier Palau out of Norfolk, Virginia during the Korean War. Upon returning from service he and Mary Jane wed on May 9th, 1952. They settled in Detroit, Michigan by way of Cleveland, Ohio where he worked in auto manufacturing. After 30 years of employment at Cadillac Motor Cars division of GM, he retired to Jacksonville, Florida to be near his mother. Randy enjoyed fishing, attending church, and Mary Jane's cooking. He was a member of Impact Church on Lone Star Rd in Jacksonville.

Randy is survived by his daughter, Diana Keener; his grandsons, Bradley Barnes, Jason Barnes (Monica), Brian Barnes, and John Randolph Keener III; great-grandchildren, Nicolas and Aylin; his daughter-in-law Cynthia Keener; his brothers, Bob Keener (Kay) and Jim Keener (Diane); his sister, Jeanie Lieb; his niece, Sally Pettigrew (Daniel); and his nephew, James Keener, Jr along with multiple other nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane; his sons, John Randolph Keener II, and Brent Alan Keener; and his parents, Clarence and Marion.

Private funeral services were held at Arlington Park Cemetery on June 23rd, 2020 and the Navy presented a flag in his honor.
