Obituary of John Lucas

John A. "Jack" Lucas, 87, passed away at home on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. He was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late John A Sr. and Ira Lucas on June 30, 1925. Jack was an avid "Gator" fan having attended University of Florida. He retired from JEA after 43 years of service. He proudly served his country during World War II as a flight engineer in the United States Army Air Corp. Jack is survived by his wife Faye Lucas; children Mike (Susan) Lucas, Wanda Barnes, Wayne (Carol) Barnes, Wannelle (Fred) Parvey; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm and a funeral service to follow at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery.
