Obituary of John Mattison

John W. Mattison, 82, passed away on November, 15, 2007. He proudly served his country during WWII and the Korean War in the United States Navy, retired from Maxwell House after 23 years of service, and was an avid volunteer at Arlington Community Service as a Board Member, Italian American Club and the American Legion, as well as a member of Young At Heart at Resurrection Catholic Church and Super Seniors at Arlington United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of over 60 years, Lena Capri Mattison; son, John William Mattison III (Karen); daughter, Carol Ann Walters (Bill); grandchildren, Audrey Capri Welch (Josh), John W. Mattison IV, Angela Capri Walters and Elizabeth Capri Walters; great-grandchildren, Campbell Welch and Tyler Welch; two brothers, three sisters, many nieces and nephews, as well as a loving extended family and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2007 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to your favorite charity in memory of John.
