On Wednesday, October 30, 2019, John Arthur Sorrell, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 75

John was born on May 19, 1944 in Troy, New York.  He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 6 years and worked most of his life as a general contractor.

John had a passion for old movies and was always fascinated with new technology, especially small gadgets. He loved watching sports, especially his Jacksonville Jaguars. John had a kind and compassionate spirit and will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.

John is preceded in death by; Hellen Sorrell; sister, Margie and Linda; brother, Raymond.

He is survived by his; wife, Joanna; daughter, Marji (Bryan Starnes); son, Jay Sorrell; daughter, December (Greg Naylor); daughter, Victoria (AJ Zolty); son, Robert (Kathy Blandenburg)

Grandchildren; Sydney and Lauren Starnes, Caitlyn and Devon Naylor,Josh Blandenburg,  Drake and Corvin Zolty and great granddaughter Audrey

A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, November 8, 2019 in the Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel, 6920 Lone Star Rd., Jacksonville, FL with Dr. Timothy McDaniel officiating. Inurnment will immediately follow in the Arlington Park Cemetery, where Military Honors will be rendered.
