Obituary of John Wilber

John Templeton Wilber passed from this life on September 24, 2013. A veteran of WWII, he was born in Providence, RI in 1928 and graduated from University of Rhode Island. He resided in California for many years where he owned his own business. He had been a resident of Jacksonville, FL since 2003 and was a member of The Greater Jacksonville Coin Club, a hobby which he enjoyed. John is predeceased by two sisters and one brother. He is survived by his devoted wife Carol; two loving daughters, Dianne Walker and Beryl Lynn Wilber; granddaughter, Jandy Marie Collins and two great grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 in the chapel of Lakewood United Methodist Church 6133 San Jose Blvd Jacksonville, FL, where he was a member. Pastor Eric Williams will be officiating. A plaque in his memory has been placed in the Old First Presbyterian Church columbarium in San Francisco, CA.
