Obituary of Johnnie Fellabaum

Johnnie Lynn Whatley Fellabaum, age 83, daughter of John and Grace Whatley, who was born November 13, 1931 in Greenville, South Carolina went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2015 at the Baptist Beaches Hospital in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. She was surrounded by her family as she was called home to glory.

Johnnie was a homemaker and wife for most of her life, taking care of her family and eventually her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, painting, making shell hangings, and attending Jaguar and Gator games. She loved the beach, was always full of life, laughter, and always put others ahead of herself.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard Malcolm Fellabaum, parents John Preston Whatley and Grace Cothran Whatley, and sister Barbara Whatley Thompson.

She is survived by; her devoted daughters Sandy Owings Snyder and Pamela J. Fellabaum; grandchildren William A. Snyder and Rebecca M. Snyder; great grandson Jackson A. Boltwood; sister Janet Whatley Navarre; brothers Randy (Linda) Whatley and Warren Whatley; nephews Larry and Bobby Navarre, Preston (Martha) and Wayne (Tammy) Thompson, Mark and Mike Whatley; and niece Lezlie Whatley.

Her family and close friends will hold a Celebration of Her Life on her birthday at Jacksonville Beach, her home and one of her most favorite places to spend her time. The location and time will be announced by the family at a later date.

Johnnie will be inurned at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. with her husband of 35 years Richard Fellabaum.

The family request that no floral or sympathy gifts be sent, rather any memorials should be made to a charity of your choice in her name. Thank You
