Joseph "Bud" Hubert Brinson, 81, son of James Brinson and Ida Lee Young Brinson, born November 21, 1935 in Deland, Florida, passed away December 11, 2016 at the Acosta Rua Hospice Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Bud was retired from Potash Corp of White Springs, Florida after working there for 30 years. He loved woodworking, fishing and working in his yard. He also loved going to church and having the family get togethers with all of his girls, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Bud was preceded in death by his father James Artics Brinson, his mother Ida Lee Brinson and his sister Eula Jean Rigdon and his brother Bucky Meeker. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Rose Marie Clapper Brinson; daughters, Janice Blanton (Barry Blanton), Linda Bamberger (Ken Bamberger), Teresa Moore; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Jerry Brinson (Barbara Brinson); sisters, Alyce Dillingham (Jim Dillingham) and Janice Quirk.
The Brinson family will receive friends 6-8PM, Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the funeral home.
A Celebration of Life will begin 2:00 PM, Friday, December 16, 2016 in the chapel of the funeral home with Dr. John Green officiating. Bud's Graveside Blessing will immediately follow at Arlington Park Cemetery.
