Obituary of Joseph Ervolino

Joseph J. Ervolino, age 91, died on Dec 22, 2011 after several illnesses. He retired from Barretto Peat in NYC as Asst. Vice President. Joseph was a devout Catholic serving in two churches on many committees to raise large funds in NYC and Spring Valley, NY. He became members of many clubs including DAV Vet (commander), VFW, 4th Knight of Columbus. He served in WWII both in Japan and Hawaii returning to Hawaii often. After he was discharged he married Amelia Cuomo and raised two children, a son John (deceased) and a daughter Patricia Griffin of Hastings, FL. Joseph had 5 grandchildren, Tricia Hill, Jennifer Klepoch, Marina Mercer, Anthony Ervolino, and Tracy Envolino. He had 7 great grandchildren, Desiree Hill, Shaq Hill, Laura Gambrell, Peter Klepoch III, Victoria Ishey, and Kelsey Mercer (deceased). He is survived by his devoted wife of 12 years Genevieve (Kalis) Ervolino, her sons Michael, Charles, and Robert Kalis. A visitation will be held on Wed., December 28, 2011 at Arlington Park Funeral home, 6920 Lone Star Rd., Jacksonville, FL from 4-8:00pm. Funeral mass will be held on Thurs., December 29, 2011 at 11:00am at Christ the King Catholic church, 742 Arlington Rd. N., Jacksonville, FL. Family will receive friends at the church after interment in Arlington Park Cemetery for fellowship.
