Obituary of Joseph Lappin
Joseph E. Lappin, age 67, passed away on September 30, 2010, after a battle with lung cancer.
Joe was born on October 18, 1942, in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from William Jewell College in 1965 and relocated to the Northeast to begin his railroad career. He completed his MBA in 1988 at Loyola College in Baltimore, MD. He relocated to Jacksonville, FL in 1992. He retired from CSX Transportation in 2000 after 36 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas V. and Genevieve Lappin and brother Thomas V. Lappin, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Donna Lappin, daughter Patti Foy (Kevin), son Joseph Lappin, Jr., grandson Tim Lappin, and sister Martha Jones (Maurice).
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October, 9, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL 32211.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
