Obituary of Joseph Shepard

Shepard, Joseph K., 82, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2013. Joe was born on September 18, 1930 in Waycross, GA to the late Reverend Carlton and Lecell Shepard. Joe lived in the Jacksonville area for 50 years after a tour in the Navy. He worked for Brundage Motors for 12 years and retired from Hobleman Port Services after 29 years as the port service manager. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Jack Shepard. He is survived by his loving wife and friend of sixty years, Gertrude "Trudy" Shepard; three children, Terry (Barbara) Shepard, Sheila (Jimmy) Jacobs and Andy (Jackie) Shepard; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Dale (Jack) Herrin and many trusted friends. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 10-11:00am at Orange Avenue Baptist Church, 1106 North Orange Avenue, Green Cove Springs, FL. His funeral will commence at 11:00am. Interment will be held at Arlington Park Cemetery at 2:30pm, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL.
