Joyce Lee Fanning, 79, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021. Joyce was born on June 3, 1942, in Jacksonville, Florida. She married Henry Wilson Fanning III on June 24, 1967. Joyce had a passion for animals. She also loved to play music on her keyboard. She was known for her laughter, her kindness and her caring spirit for others.

Joyce was preceded in death by husband Henry W. Fanning III, father Therion B. Lee, Sr., mother Elizabeth W. Goolsby, stepfather Donald E. Goolsby, brother Therion B. "Sonny" Lee, Jr., and nephew Timothy W. Lee. She is survived by mother-in-law Ramona Fanning, sister Sheryl Royster (Van), brother Glenn Lee (Jan), stepbrothers Edward Goolsby (Lynn) and Michael Goolsby (Darlene), a niece, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Graveside service only will be held at Arlington Park Cemetery, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211, on Thursday, August 26th at 2 p.m. Service will be officiated by Pastor Ethan Lee.
